Introducing church tax – Serbia is becoming a one-religion state

   The Decree of the Government of the Republic of Serbia which issued a postage stamp meant for building the church of Saint Sava in Belgrade payable in domestic postal service from 11 January until 8 July 2006. The funds raised by selling the stamp are going to be transferred to the Holy Archpriest Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church to finish the building of the church and the craftwork inside it. The Decree says that the money will be used according to the program written by the Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church approved by the Government of Serbia.
